Burns (4.7 ): His coolness makes him very reliable ; battedvery well in somematches; safe field . *W. S. Clowes (6.4) : H a snotshown up so well in batting as last season , but still has played some good innings ; whenwanted, kept wicket pluckily . *Ll. Davies (41.4 ) : Has captained the team with good judgment, and to the satisfaction of all , through a successful season , owed in a great measure to his brilliant batting andbowling ; in the former department he has one of the highest averages ever gained at the school , and proved equally good on all wickets ; again did the largest share of the bowling , withhighly creditable results ; splendid field anywhere. H. E. Darby(4.6) : Disappointing as a bat; will bowl well when more confident ; good field . *A. J. Dexter (6) : Greatly improved as abat, having now good defence ; has somewhat fallen off in fielding . W. L. Donaldson (9.4) : Bats exceedingly well at times ; uncertain field ; is likely to make a good bowler in future seasons . *D. B. James (11.1 ) : Cameout as a bowler this season , doing sterling work, as his analysis will show; fair bat; goodfield . H. L. Rogers (17.5 ) : A most energetic and useful memberof the team; on dry wickets played some really brilliant innings ; wonderfully improved as a field , where he brought off some very good catches .
