Leese : His energy and conscientious efforts to get together a good eleven madehim a most successful captain ; a fine public school bat, with plenty of hitting power; wehope to hear of him next season at the University . W.G .Clegg : His bowling was less effective than was expected of him after last year , though his performance against Eton was very good; his batting did not improve much. J. H. Weatherby : Disappointing at times, but more than once he did good service as a bat ; he cared muchmore. abouthis cricket thanoften appearedto be the case ; a goodfield . T. B. Case : Amostpainstaking cricketer ; he had a very unlucky season , as often happens, butw efully expect that next year he will be well to the front ; a fair field . V. T. Hill: Nearly the whole weight of the bowling fell on his shoulders , andhis analysis will speak for itself ; he improved as a bat, and played one or two useful innings . A. H. C. Barker : The best field in the eleven , and a much improved and most useful bat, being a consistent scorer . C. W. Little : Im- proved very muchas a bat, and proved himself to be a most useful memberof the eleven in this respect ; his wicket -keeping was excellent . H. F. Fuller : A useful change bowler, often getting a wicket whenmenwere set ; worked hard whenfielding . D. Carlisle : A useful memberof the eleven without being brilliant in anydepartment of the game. A. J. Boger : Bowled excellently for the short time that he played for the eleven ; he has the making of a good bat with practice . E. J. Neve : H eought to become a really good field ; at present a moderate bat, but capable of muchimprovement. S C O T L A N D , F E T T E SC O L L E G E . Captain for 1888, M. R. Jardine.
