H. F. Grayson : Has batted very finely this season ; he is very strong onthe off , with a really beautiful cut ; must learn to stand up to his leg stump; a very useful medium-paced bowler ; good field and catch , and has a good re- turn . C. C. Lemprière (Capt) : Agood field at cover -point , and can bowl , but with the bat he has not improved much this year. H. F. Sich : Has again dis- appointed us ; plays fairly at practice and in games, but almost invariably fails inmatches ; a moderate field , and change bowler. A. L. Nelson : Useful with the gloves ; muchimproved as a bat, but must not forget howto take advantage of loose balls in his desire to play carefully ; inclined to get his leg in front of his wicket . H. S. Laird : Hardly kept up the promise of early in season ; plays with straight bat ; should makeauseful bowler next year ; a rather poor field . *G. E. Mosley: Has played one or two fine innings , but strikes one as being very nervous ; has been knownto bowlandkeep wicket . W. R. Stratton : Hasa very cramped action , both with bat and ball , but he can hit a loose ball , and can break a little from leg . J. P. G.
