Gresson : Undoubtedly a very goodbat, strong defence , cuts and drives very well ; showngreat judgment in captaining the eleven ; good field ; can bowl. *T. L. Nelson : Has proved of immenseservice to the eleven as abowler, as his excellent average shows ; dis- appointing bat, but when set hits with great freedom all round ; bowls fast right hand; can field anywhere. C. J. R. Richards: Afine left-h a n dbat, especially good on the off ; ought to develope into a first -class cricketer ; good field ; can bowl. G. W .Gruggen : Hardlycame up to expectations ; is , how- ever, a fair bat ; good field at times ; bowling has fallen off . H. C. Izard : Has kept wicket with some success ; useful bat, likely to makeruns. J. E. M. Carroll : Goodmediumbowler, ought to be of great service next year. F. C. Cooper : Goodbat, with crampedstyle ; wretched field . *P. A. Robson : Could bowlatbeginning of season , but fell off latterly ; in too great a hurry to make runs ; a really fine field . M. R. Church : Promising bat, with neat style ; fair field . F. Pellatt : Useful change bowler ; promising bat ; fair field ; ought to be of service next year. *N. L.
