1 4 2 L I L L Y W H I T E ' SCRICKETERS' A N N U A L. ting will come. W. T. Gellibrand : Bats in a nice free style , but has no patience ; a slow out-field , but a good catch . F. D. T. Smyth: A straight , fast bowler ; dida lot of workfor the eleven , but has not break enough to bedangerous ; will never be a good bat till he stands up to the wicket better . H. H. Crawley : Has improved a great deal both as bat and field ; cuts well, but is very weakon the leg side . C. E. Nicholl : A very useful bat ; has a peculiar style of his own, but rarely fails to score ; with a little trouble might make himself a very fair bowler . *A. R. Warren: The most imposing figure in the eleven ; hadto take a difficult position , anddid his best in it ; a moderate bat. * IW. T. Blunt : Amost enthu- siastic cricketer ; knewthe scores and averages of every batsman since the Flood , but was the saddest field we have ever seen ; as a bat, knewwhatgood cricket should be, and always tried to play it, but wanted strength .
