O u rn e w" Special Driver" Bat(Frowd's Patent) has given results hitherto unattained by anyother Bat, the driving power being greater , andstinging or concussion to the hands is reduced practically to nil . Areduction in weight of from o n eto t w oouncesis also effected. Thesuccess of this Bat during 1881 , the first season's use, was altogether unprecedented in the annals of Cricket, and this has been fully con- firmed bythe results of the subsequent seasons . Theopinions expressed as to its superiority to any otherBatare unanimous, and w eare constantly receiving great numbers of perfectly spontane- ous testimonials concerning it, some of them being quite enthusiastic , from all parts of the country , and from the colonies .
