Kerr (27.4 ) : Very fine bat, but slow in the field ; makes a score every match. D. Adam(25.5) : The best bat in the team; a certain field ; keeps wicket well , and can bowl on an emergency with some effect . R. S. Adam (25.10 ): Good bat,and fair field ; bowls fast round-arm. Jno. Marshall (20.8 ) : A good, steady bat; very slow in the field . W m. McClure , jun . (19.6 ) : A good bat, but is out of practice ; bowls well occasionally , and a splendid field at cover -point , his return being particularly smart . W. C. Simpson (18) : A good bat ,hitting very hard, but his fielding and bowling have fallen off greatly . W. J. Wright (16.4 ) : Very fair bat, but unfortunate ; good field , and bowls well . J. D. Neill (14.7 ) : Agood, steady bat, and bowls with an off -break ; rather slow in the field . Jno. Adam(9.3 ) : A slogger ; very smart field at point . U. U. McClure (8.5) A very unfortu- nate bat ; very slow in the field . Jno. McClure (7) : A fair bat, but in matches he does not comeup to his practice form; mediumfield . R. K. Hair (6.2) : A very indifferent bat , but is improving ; the most successful bowler in the team , being fast , with a peculiarly high delivery , andabreak-back; very slow in the field ,
