Williams : Hason several occasions scored whenothers could not;shows no energy in the field . W.T.Davies : Improves in batting ; very active andwilling inthe field ; ought to makea useful bowler next season . R. S. Davies : Strong andactive in the field ; a good thrower and safe catch . I. A. Jones : Stands up well at the wicket , and plays with a straight bat ; in the field he is willing , but as slow as ever in returning the ball . D. P. Williams : Avery promising bowler , though inclined to be short in pitch ; far less useful as a batsmanthan in the previous year . A. J. Jones : Fields well at cover -point , andhas madesome good catches ; seems to have no nerve for batting ; his form in matches is disappointing . Η. F. Johnson : Very painstaking in the field ; he might improve in batting if he would stand pro- perly at the wicket . D. Rogers (12.18 ) : has more than fulfilled his batting promise of last season ; plays very straight , and has a very clean off-drive ; very useful field , and most hard-working . *S. Moore (10.5 ) : Agood run-getting bat for his size ,but mars his defence by a favourite pull ; very smart field ; has fallen off considerably in bowling . *W. S. Clowes (8.14 ) : Pretty bat, plays steadily , and with great confidence ; will score faster with increased power; has kept wicket most pluckily . A. T. Dexter (7.1 ) : Often gets runs in his own style , which has much improved ; hits hard, and is good in the deep field . J. E. Perks (6.5 ) : Began the season badly , but improved later on; good field , and throws in smartly . A. P. Butler (9.9): Has every natural advantage for a ba except strength ; has played several good innings ; poor field . A.
