Wilkinson (Captain ) : Played two very useful innings at the beginning and end of the term; not so successful throughout ; rather wanting in strength as a cricketer and captain ; afair change bowler. G. J. V. Weigall : Did not comeoff this season ; lacked confidence , and didnot bat in his usual good form; fielded well as point . S. T. Hankey: A pretty and useful bat and field when in practice , not quite so successful this year owing to absence ; his last innings promises well for next season . G. F. Berke- ley: Bowled up well throughout , but not with the same telling results as last year; muchimproved in batting . E. C. Mordaunt : Steady and useful bat ; has played consistently well all through the season ; good right -hand medium-pace bowler; smart field ; should be of the greatest use next year. J.N. Wright: Uncertain bat, must learn to play quicker ; good long -field , throwing in especially well. *E. C. Langton : Withmore pains and practice should makea good fast bowler ; hits hard ; slow in the field . *F. W .Parker : Hardhitting , but some- times driving finely on the off side ; poor field . F. H. Browning : Apromising player for next year ; cuts well , but should avoid doing so off the wicket ; fair but rather casual field . *G. Becher : A careful and straight bat ; has kept wicket . *A. Lyon : Slow left -hand bowler ; has greatly improved in batting . W E S T M I N S T E R S C H O O L . Captain for 1887, R. R. Sandilands . R e s u l t sof M a t c h e s.
