Saville ; As Captain, worked well against continued misfortune ; a hard , fast -scoring bat, with too much flourish and little defence ; a slow bowler, good at times , with considerable work on the ball ; not a safe field , but brilliant nowand then . *F. Keysell : Has little or no forward play , and no idea of using his height and reach ; has bowled (fast ) with some success ; has still to learn howto field clean , but can catch . * IW. H. Bag- shaw : Avery fair right -armed fast bowler, getting a good " break back" at times , but soon tires ; hits strongly , but without muchscience ; a really fine field . G. Wood: Has good style , especially on the off , driving and cutting
