M. de Bartolemè : Is shaky for a few overs , but whenset , plays fine cricket , hitting with power and judgment on both sides of the wicket ; a very useful bowler, and excellent field at cover -point ; as captain , has set his menan excellent example in practice . H. R. Sedgwick : Regainedhis batting form which he appeared to lose at the middle of the term; plays hard, but would makemore runs if he were not so eager to score on going in; the wickets have probably been too fast for him of late ; except against Rossall , has not come off as a bowler ; a hard-working and safe field in the
