Hamilton (Capt .) : Has shown excellent form in batting all through season , which is proved by his average (55) ; his best of manygood scores was 122 , not out , against Gentlemen of Herts ; hewas quick in the field , and never lost interest in any game; the experience he gained from being three years in the eleven madehima most able captain . *A. M . Batty: B y far the best bowler in the team; medium-pace , overhand, changing pace and pitch with great judgment; a good field , and a hard hitter . *M. Lamb: A hard and clean hitter on the off -side ; a useful bowler, with medium-pace and left -hand round delivery . *W. W. W. A'Deane: A steady and careful bat, and a good field . *C. G. D. Hoare : Goodin the field ; useful changebowler, fast but erratic , with over -handdelivery . *F. B. Morgan: Anex- cellent bat, has made some good scores , has a fine off-stroke ; a good field ; a change bowler, with slow round-arm. *H. P. E. Paget : A good fast bowler, withhigh action ; a fair bat. *O. G. Mackie : Auseful and hard-hitting bat ; a good field ; has kept wicket . *B. F. G. North: A careful bat ; a change bowler, with slow, left -handdelivery . E. Blaker : Will be captain next year ; careful bat, and fair bowler. D. C.
