E. Hartopp , J. Mellor , and E. C. Willoughby. THOUGHthe match list was not quite so extensive as in the previous year, the executive of the Marylebone had a very heavytask in bringing off , andsatisfac- torily , as manyas 128 engagements . The general results , too , were distinctly favourable. Overone-half of the total numberof fixtures endedin victories for the Club , while the proportion of losses was under 20 per cent . Altogether theseason of 1886 mustbe accounteda satisfactory one for the M.C.C. Cricket everywhere has been muchindebted to the liberality and enterprise of the premier Club, and it is gratifying to see that the policy which has always guided its Committeeis not likely to be changed.
