Ross (35.7 ): Has got rid of m a n yof his faults, and shows promise of being a really good bat; h e is too anxious to get runs quickly , andhas lately developed a bad stroke off the wicket to leg; has beenofgreat use to his side, andplayed a fine innings against Clifton. A. B. Wilson: H a s beenunable to play m u c hfromill-health; at present showslittle promise. T. S.
