W.Brand: A medium-paced bowler, good on his day; disappointed his admirers with the bat this season ; slow in the field . R. C. Gosling : Did excellent service as a batsman; a slow bowler, straight rather thandifficult ; a fair field whenwide awake. C. P. Foley Played with such strong andpatient, defence , and wasinvaluable to his side ; showed to great advantage in the school matches . Hon. H. Coventry : A tolerable slow bowler ; keen in the field , and promising as an all -round hitter ; lacks patience ; like Foley, often good at need, H . R. Bromley Davenport : A very promising fastish left -hand bowler ; m a y becomereally good with experience ; fair field . W. D. Llewelyn : Bats in good style , and is likely to improve as he gets stronger ; useful in the field . IV. R. Hoare : Energetic and excellent in the field ; has hitting powers , with aquatio tendencies ; bowls occasionally , and fast . *S. S. Green : A fair bat ; keeps wicket whenneeded ; slow in the field . *G. H. Duckworth : A very fair wicket- keeper, with useful defence . L. C. Maclachlan : Bats in good style , and is a changebowler.
