BRASENOSE ELEVEN IN 1886.-H. T. Arnall - Thompson : See University Eleven . W. J. Barry : A good bat , with driving powers and fair defence ; fields well , and bowls a little . A. E. Bedford : Improved somewhat as a bat, but should study defence more ; fair field . A. S. Blair : Excellent and safe run-getting bat ; played some very good innings this year; fair field , but seems tohavelost his bowling to a great extent . C. C. Bradford : Extremely steady bat, andmight hit more, with advantage ; good field , and bowls a little . Н. Н. Castens : Began the season by batting very well , but, owing to accidents , played little ; very fair wicket -keeper . A. Pearson : Safe bat, with very pretty style , and should improve ; excellent field . J. B. Rawlinson : A bat with no defence , but plenty of hitting power ; steady fast bowler , with a good length . W. Rashleigh : See University Eleven . R. H. Tilney : With practice , ought to makea useful bat; very slack in the field . J. H.
