Mackinnon : A very good slow left- handbowler, with a lot of work; has also batted remarkably well ; has been tried for the 'Varsity . W . Elton : A good left -handbat, with tremendous hitting powers ; whenset makes runs very quickly ; good field , and can take the wicket . H. J. Grundtvig : Has batted consistently well throughout the season ; a fair change bowler . J. W. Allen : Good medium-pace bowler ; has been unlucky withthe bat. F. A. Pritt : A splendid field at cover-point , occasionally fielding almost impossible balls ; has fallen off in batting . P. F. C. Elwes : Hasmadean excellent captain ; was unfortunate with the bat, but has played several useful innings . H. Allen : Has successfully kept wicket during the season . Gray: Aweakandfluky bat; slow in the field . R. O. Ridley : His partiality for turning all balls into half-volleys has often been fatal to him; fair slow bowler. M . S. Brodhurst : Fair bowler and field ; a very energetic secretary . R. W. Sale : A good fast round-armbowler, sometimes very deadly ; uncertain b a t. Η. Α.
