HORNBY, E. C. (Liverpool ). A young and improving player ; drives well ; canalso bowl; m e d i u mleft-hand. K E M B L E, A. T. (Cheltenham). A very fair bat, and capital wicket-keeper . K E R S H A W, J. E. A very good bat indeed ; drives well to the off ; fair field . LANCASHIRE, O. P. (Rossall and Cambridge). Plays in very good form, and madesomegood scores last season ; drives well ; is also a good field . LEACH, W. E. (Marlborough). A n excellent cricketer ; good sound bat, and splendid field at point . R O P E R, E. (Clifton ). A very good bat and field , and plays in good form; also fair change bowler. R O Y L E, R E V. V. (Rossall and Oxford). Still keeps up his batting reputation ; played but little during the past season ; fields as brilliantly as ever at cover-point. STEEL, A. G. (Marlborough and Cambridge). A first -class all-round cricketer , equally good at all points ; does not represent his County as often as could b ew i s h e d. STEEL, D. Q. (Uppinghamand Cambridge). Agood batsman and field ; drives well to the on-side ; business prevents himplaying muchfor the County. STEEL, H. B. Another addition to the County ranks ; an improving bat and fast run-getter ; hits very hard to the on-side ; an accident to his leg prevented him from assisting his Countyduring the past season . STEEL, E. E. (Marlborough ). A very promising young player ; bats in good form, and fields well . T A Y L O R, F. (Clifton ). A very careful and steady batsman; plays the game thoroughly ; excels in driving ; rather slow in the field , bowls slow r o u n d-a r m. K E M P, G. (Cambridge). Plays for Lancashire . L E I C E S T E R S H I R E . ARNALL, H. T. (Rugby and Oxford ). A very fine slow bowler , with break from off high delivery . H A Y, W. H. (Eton and Cambridge) . A good steady bat and long field . MARRIOTT, C. (Winchester and Oxford). A good bat and good field . T U R N E R, J. A. (Uppingham and Cambridge). A good and quick run-getting bat, spendid field , and fast bowler . M I D D L E S E X . COTTRELL, C. E. (Harrow). A useful bat , scoring freely at times ; bowls fast round, at times effectively ; muchimproved in bowling , with more in his ball thanmost fast bowlers ; did not play muchlast year. F O R D, A. F. J. (Repton and Cambridge). A very useful all -round player ; bowls with very high delivery , and is very effective when wicket helps in any way; bats well , and can hit hard ; excellent field at slip ; did not play last year.
