Carruthers (16.6): Goodall -round cricketer ; good bat, but inclined to hit too soon ; scored well on several occasions ; one of the regular bowlers of the team; a good catch andenergetic field ; madea moderate captain . W. G. Carruthers (2.5 ) : Moderate bat and field ; his bowlinghas something in it . T. V. Dickinson (46.8 ) : Avery casual memberof the team; dangerous bat, hits well , and has a good defence ; bowled successfully at times ; a good field . W. R. Falkner (5.2) : Poor bat ; one of the regular bowlers of the team, not so successful this year as last ; uncertain catch, energetic field ; a lazy secretary . W . K . Hopkins(7) : Veryfair bat, with good style ; a capital longstop . J. W. Hutton (10.7 ) : Promising bat, with pretty style ; moderate bowler and field . A. C. Laing (2.5 ) : Moderatebat andfield ; bowled very fairly towards endof the season . E. G. Laing (4.6) : Generallymadea fewruns, his best stroke is the cut ; very fair catch and field , though somewhatuncertain . W. Parsons (6.9 ) : Steady bat with nice forward action ; wentfirst to the wickets , and generally made a few runs ; fair field . H. R. Moody, Captain (15.20 ) : Steady, dependable bat; good long -stop , but can field anywhere ; good medium-pace bowler , having an averageof7.32 . H. A. Tessier (6.4 ) : Fairbat; safe catch ; a splendid point . E. G. Turner (11.21): Good, steady bat, with a fair amount of patience ; good wicket -keeper, with thenecessary amountof pluck andendurance . N. O. Wilson (6.7 ) : Verypretty bat, with plenty of style ; youngat present , but ought to be useful next season ; goodfield . B. F. Wildman(5.13) : Excellent medium-pace bowler, with a good off break ; has beenvery unlucky this season ; improved wonderfully in batting ; a fine slip ; bowling average 13.44 .
