Every (8.57 ) : Goodbat ; has or several occasions displayed good hitting powers ; fields well at point . A. R. Finlay (5.12 ) : Very good fast left -handedbowler ; bowled extremely well early in the season, but fell off on the dry wickets ; a fair bat, and a capital field . F. D. Finlay (11.12 ) : Although the youngest memberof the eleven hehasshownhimself tobe the safest hitter wehave, playing thoroughly good cricket notwithstanding ; wonderfully strong on the leg -side ; very neat field . F. W. Hutchinson (7.52 ) : Extremely fast right -hand bowler whenon the wicket , being very hard to play ; good hitter , but too fond of slogging ; fields well at slip . H. Hutchinson (4.1 ) : Fully justifies his place in the eleven in practice , but lacks nerve in matches. C. E. Hedge (12.78 ) : The steadiest and most reliable bat in the eleven , with fine powers ofhitting whenopportunity offers ; as wicket -keeper certainly the best the School hasever had, being far above the usual run of school wicket -keepers . F. E. Nathan (6) : Veryhardhitter ,buttoo fond of slogging ; fields well at short -leg. C. E. Owen (5.79 ) : Very careful bat, with a good defence : has frequently displayed great nerve at acrisis ; asa long -stop has been invaluable . E. N. Rankin (10.75 ) : B y far the most finished bat of the eleven , showing to great advantage onseveral occasions ; if anything too careful ; very goodfield . S. G. Shepherd (3.23 ) : Good steady left -handed bowler, bowling with his head perhaps more than any other member, on several occasions doing goodwork; poorbat,butgoodfield . N. Suarez (6.8 ) : Wantsnerve as abatsman; showed excellent form towards the close of the season ; with practice will develop into a good bowler; asafe field . H.
