Andrew Pearson : The mostcorrect , but the most disappointing bat in the eleven ; wants life , seeming at times to hesitate and spoil a good stroke ; a very fine field at cover , with a good and quick return; moderate slow bowler, rather apt to over pitch . Leslie B. Moubray : Very disappointing as a bat ; hits aeross too much, andneverplays with an upright bat ; might have improved more than he has; agood field and very sure catch , especially in the deep field ; a very useful a
