Walters : Has fulfilled the promise shownlast season ; his forward play is strong and good, but he is cramped in back play and lacks cutting powers ; a good field . *T. G. Walker : Has improved steadily during the season as a bat ; watches the ball well , and has given upreckless hitting ; a fast , erratic bowler ; useful as a change . F. C. L. Hamilton: A thorough cricketer ; promises , with more natural powers , to be first -rate as a bat ; alert in the field . *A. O. Kirby : Bats carefully , and is useful for going in first ; has kept wicket , but not with marked success . *C. R. Wilson : A very useful bowler, nearly always straight ; a plucky but weak bat ; cuts a suitable ball well , but tries to cut too manyunsuitable ones ; loses too muchheight in forward play . *J. S.
