Arnall : Slow left -hand bowler, with goodcommandof the ball , both as regards pitch and break ; not so successful withthe bat for the college as last year , but developed great run-getting powers later in the season , especially in Scotland . W. J. Barry : Began the season . well, batting with more strength and confidence than formerly , but fell off rather towards the end of term; fair field . A. E. B. Bedford: A nexcellent field, but rather reckless bat. A. S. Blair : Excellent and safe run-getting bat, and wasthe most successful of the bowlers . C. C. Bradford : W a svery unlucky with various accidents , and therefore did not bat up to his form ; safe field . H. H. Castens : Not so successful with the bat as last year, but developed bowling powers, and on a slow wicket was a most artful bowler. C. G. Dewar: Might be a very fair bowler if he would pitch them up more ; fair bat. H. H. Dobinson : Fell off in run-getting power from last year ; still a steady bat, andgood field . A. M. Latham : Showed rather better form with the bat than last year ; very useful as wicket -keeper . H. L. Topham: Played one or two good innings , but very uncertain ; good field . J. H. Ware: Only had six innings , owing to his boating duties ; is a great hitter , but most useful as a bowler; has a very markedbreak from leg, and did yeoman's service whenhe played.
