Dorman: Thebest all -round manin the Eleven ; steady bat, with pretty style ; has developed into a really first -class bowler ; safe field . W. C. Eppstein : Fair left -hand bat ; fast , but very erratic bowler ; energetic in the field . W. F. Jameson : Didnot play during term, but did good service on tour . E. F. Kear- sey : Goodand reliable bat; at times a very effective medium-paced left-hand bowler. Captain for 1886. C. E. Lewis : A very successful captain ; unlucky as a bat ; very energetic in the field . E. C. Lewis : A stylish bat, lacking power ; owing to an accident was somewhat handicapped ; uncertain field . A. P. Johnson -Townley : Uncertain bat, but came off on a critical occasion , and scored heavily for second eleven , having an average of 5l for them. A. J.. H.
