Tester (73) was in while 149 runs were got in the first innings of Sussex . Flowers' bowling very nearly wonthe match for M.C.C. , and his figures in the second innings of the County were very fine . Thirty-four of his forty -nine overs were maidens. In all he took eleven Sussex wickets at a cost of 101 runs . Sussex , 222 and 71 (nine wickets ) ; total , 293 .
