Out of thetwelve matches wonby the club , several of the teams defeated were cup clubs , notably theNorthern,Adelphians , HothamAlberts , Queensberry , and Parkville clubs . The lead- ing players are H. S. Freeman,whowins the batting average in the 1st Eleven with the fine average of 26.6 runs per innings , and also the highest individual score for a completed inningswith thefine score of 140 runs.
