F.-Represented Victoria in the first Inter -Colonial match with South Wales ; a good all round cricketer ; very popular in the Colonies . PETRE, LORD.-Died July 4. A liberal supporter of the game. His ground in Essex was one of the best in the county. PARDON, GEORGEFREDERICK.-Died on August 43; well knownas a writer on cricket , and other out-door games , under the nom de plume of " Captain Crawley." W I S D E NJOHN, (Sussex ).-Died April 26. Born in 1826. About1850 . oneofthe best all -round players of the day ; a very effective slow-round arm bowler ; good bat and smart field at short slip . In 1850 , for the North, at Lords, he bowled down all ten wickets of the South. W A R D, REV. A. R.-Died on September 25. President of the Cambridge University Club for 1873 ; a keen and liberal supporter of the game ;tohis efforts wasmainly due the present success of the Cambridge University Club.
