Orr (Captain ) : has played consistently well throughout the season , and has handled his team with muchsuccess ; as a bat, is brilliant , his forward play being pretty and sound ; has bowled very fairly , getting 43wickets in the season . Skipwith (2nd Captain) : agoodbat, buthas beenvery unlucky this season ; has good forward play, and a very neat stroke between cover-point and mid-off ; a very sure field , with quick return; could keep wicket with practice ; can bowl. P. T. Bell : A really sound bat; scored two centuries during the season ; his back play is good, and his driving and cutting very clean ; kept wicket with great success ; will be very muchmissed next year. W. P. Braithwaite : improved both as abat andfield ; played somevery useful innings this year. P. Christopherson : a very good mediumbowler, with abreak both ways; took 65 wickets during the season at a very small cost ; a dangerous bat with a gooddrive ,butrather too fond of hitting ; excellent field in the country, rarely dropping a catch .
