Young: Became a very useful bat ; not a taking style , but good defence , especially on a slow wicket ; did not in bowling come up to the expectations formed of him last year; fair slip . *C. H. Dent : A very good, steady , slow round-armbowler, with a lot of spin on the ball ; was very successful all through the year ; a safe bat, but not quick field ; could play a good hard hit innings . W. H. Dent : A nice free -hitting bat, hitting well all round : an excellent field . A. D. Ramsay: A nexcellent fast right -hand round-arm bowler , keeping a good length , with a nasty break-back ; poor bat and field . A. K. Watson : Has some very fine strokes on the off -side , but defence rather weak; should very good next year ; a very fair field . *C. E. Kindersley : A very fair bat, with good off -drive ; canbowl a little ; very safe field anywhere. M. J.
