Cawston : A very muchimproved bat ; has excellent defence , but lacks hitting powers ; a good field ; has been very successful as a captain . *C. H. Vintcent : Has bowled with great success throughout the season ; bowls medium-paced with a break from leg , and always keeps a good length ; has not been very successful with the bat, although he plays in good style and cuts splendidly . C. Wreford-Brown : Is a good slow bowler, with a large break either way; has been most unlucky with the bat, as he plays most correctly ; very good field . *G. A. Coulby : B y far the most con sistent scorer in the eleven , always making an excellent start ; drives well on the off -side , and is lkely to become a first -class player ; is a safe catch , especially close to the wicket . *C. M. Woodbridge . Has failed aitogether to make any large scores ; hits very hard when he gets set , but is very nervous o nfirst going in ; very poor field . H. J. E. Burrell : Is an excellent bat, hitting well , especially on the leg side ; very useful medium-paced bowler ; good field . C. H. Evan-Thomas : Bats in good style , and hits hard on the off ; a good fast bowler ; slow in the field . E. S. Currey : Has the prettiest style in the eleven , and has played some capital innings ; a good out-field . *A. L. Hansell : Hasa style of his own, but is adifficult manto dislodge when once set ; a good field . *F. J. Richardson : Has kept wicket throughout the season , rarely allowing any extras ; likely to develop into a good bat , as he has very correct style . *Ε. Β.
