Sec.): Hasa good stroke on the leg side, butrather an unlucky bat. A. L. Gaskin : A very useful , but ugly bat ; bowls slow with a break, but very uncertain pitch ; good field . P. H. Williamson : Asteady slow bowler , and effective against moderate batsmen ; slow in the field . C. M. Rnatchbull -Hugessen : A good bat, and hard-hitter ; well above the average of College wicket-keepers. F. Gillson : T h ebest bowlerin the eleven, fast ; as a bat has not muchdefence , but can punish weak bowling . J. C. Ingle : Astrong bat all round ; but too muchinclined to hit whenhe first goes in. W. A. Lewis : With care might play well , but very apt to pull straight balls ; can keep wicket when necessary . W. Marshall : Plays very straight . butnot free enough ; good field . D. N. Pollock : A fairly straight fast bowler ; good field at point ; poor bat. L. J.
