Our n e w "Special Driver" Bat(Frowd's Patent) has given results hitherto unattained by any other Bat, the driving power being greater , andstinging or concussion to the hands is reduced practically to nil. Areduction in weight of from one to twoounces is also effected . The success of this Bat during 1881, the first season's use , was altogether unprecedented in the annals of Cricket , and this has been fully con- firmed by the results of the season 1882. The opinions expressed as to its superiority to any other Bat are unanimous, and we have received numbers of perfectly spontaneous testimonials concerning it , some of them being quite enthusi- astic , from all parts of the country , and even from the colonies .
