(47.8 ) : a really fine left-handed batsman, played most reliably throughout the season ; is particulary effective on the off -side ; played several fine innings ,notably his 203 v. Esher C.C.; auseful change bowler, andvery good field at m i d-off . Renault (24.8 ) : a goodrun-getting bat, with patience and good style ; proved useful to the eleven ; bowls a straight ball,butnot difficult ; slow in the field . Ullathorne (18.17) : gave general satisfaction as captain ; a fine , hard-hitting bat, though rather off hisluck last season ; agood slow bowler with lots of patience andjudgment; a good field anywhere, andcapital wicket-keeper . Austin -Jackson (16.5 ) : avery effective fast bowler, withthe excellent average of 5; field his ownbowling well ; ahard-hitting bat; hasbeen amostuseful m a nto the eleven . De Murrieta mi. (12.7 ) : as a bat was very successful throughout the season; hasa taking style ; uncertain field . Gaisford m a. (12.3 ) : plays well,with agood cut ; greatly wanting in patience , and a bad hit ; a safe catch, andgood field . Wheble (10.3 ) : as a bathas goodhitting powers,and is a fair change bowler ; agood out-field with a sharp return, andavery safe catch . De Murrieta m a. (10.1 ) : has fallen off all round through his partiality for tennis ; occasionally showed whathe might have been. Cary -Elwes ma. (7.8 ) : has kept wicket very well for the school , having greatly im- proved since last year ; a painstaking bat. Eyston mi. (5.8 ) : has greatly improved in bowling, comingin a lot from the leg ; a capital field with a sharp return ; bats wells at times, with agood leg-hit .
