H. Milner (Capt.) : bats in good style , especially on the off -side ; a very useful bowler ; will be a great loss to the eleven and school cricket , for which he has done a great deal . *F. A. Browning : a hard-hitting bat; has proved most useful throughout the season ; excellent field and safe catch. *G. H. Spiller : as a batsmansomewhat fallen off , but has scored w h e nruns were mostneeded; the best field in the eleven ; bowls lobs . *C. E. F. Bunbury : a very neat bat, with excellent defence and good back play ; first -class field at all points ; can bowl. *P. N. Salmond : a patient and steady player , with good hitting powers ; has played some very good innings ; good field , but apt to drop a catch . *D. N. Pollock : as a bowler wasfairly successful ; fallen off as a bat ; fair field . E. P. Simpson : safe and steady bat ; capital field ; Captain for next year. H. H. Prince Christian Victor : apretty and correct batsman ; has madesome good scores ; bowled well' at the beginning of the season ; good field , and catches well . A. C. M.
