The ground was so heavy from recent rains that scoring wasdifficult , and with twenty-three in the field the Colts had all the best of the game. Mr. G. F. Vernon (13 and 25) alone got over ten runs in each innings for the Club . For the Colts G. Jackson of Surrey (6 and 19) was the highest scorer . There was not a double figure in their first innings .
