J A M E SL I L L Y W H I T E , F R O W D& Co. , 4 J A M E SL I L L Y W H I T E , F R O W D& Co. beg to inform their numerouscustomers in India that parcels not exceeding £20 in value, 50lbs . in weight , and 2ft. by ft. in size , may be sent to any Post Town in India , Aden, Ceylon , and British Burmah, at a uniform rate of 1s. per lb. Gentlemen in the country , by writing to J. L. , F. & Co. in the winter , can have Bats selected and kept specially for them, so as to be in first -class condition for the Cricket Season. R e m i t t a n c e s - J. L. , F. & Co. beg to inform the public that orders from persons unknownto them should invariably be accompanied by a remittance to the value of the goods ordered , or , if this is unknown, to the supposed value . Inattention to this particular will be almost certain to cause delay . A n ysurplus remittances will be returned ondemand, or passed to the credit of the purchaser. In cases where accounts have been opened with Clubs , &c. , it is neces- sary that the order should be signed by the Secretary or other responsible officer . P.O.O. should be madepayable at the Chief Office . Clubs desirous of opening accounts should write us , so that the necessary arrangements m a ybem a d e. Discountfor P r o m p tC a s hP a y m e n t s - General orders to the amount of £1 and upwards , accompanied by cash , are entitled to a discount of 5 per cent. Alarger discount is now allowed on orders of higher value (but only whenaccompanied by cash ) on the following scale , viz.:--Orders to the value of £3 and upwards will be entitled to a discount of 7 per cent. Those of £5 and upwards to 10 per cent . , and those of £10 and upwardsto 15per cent. N.B.-There are a fewgoods which are unavoidably excepted fromthe special discounts ; but whichwill be subject to the ordinary rate of 5 per cent . These goods will be marked with a star against the number or class , or will be otherwise specially mentioned. For the convenience of Clubs and Gentlemen who maypurchase goods at various times during the season , paying for each lot at the time of pur- chase , J. L. , F. & Co, have decided to allow the full discount , as if they had been purchased at one time . It will be necessary , however , for pur- chasers to keep their invoices and receipts , and produce them when they claim the discount . N oclaims for discount , however, can be entertained after the end of the year in whichsuch goods were purchased.
