A very effective medium-pace bowler , with a great break; owing to ill-health was unable to play last year. FOORD-KELCEY, W. (Eton and Oxford). A very dangerous bowler, on queer wicket ; hits freely ; well set . HARRIS, Lord (Eton and Oxford) . A fine bat, playing in fine style and hitting with great freedom ; a fine field with a very smart return ; an energetic cricketer and enthusiastically fond of the game. JONES, R. S. (Cambridge ). A n excellent bat, with great defence ; a fine out- field andsafe catch. MACKINNON, F. A. (Harrow and Cambridge ). A steady and safe bat , but fell off greatly last year ; a sure field . PATTERSON , J. (Tonbridge ). Good field ; fair bat ; and at times useful as a change bowler (medium-pace left ). PATTERSON , W. H. (Harrow and Oxford ), a very fine defensive bat, has improved wonderfully last two seasons ; good field ; can bowl a litle .
