The present volume is a complete epitome of the busiest season English Cricketers have ever enjoyed , and the Proprietors have every confidence that it will be heartily welcomed by the thousands who desire to have an accurate analysis as well as a thorough record of the year's cricket . At the same time they earnestly solicit the assistance of Secretaries of Clubs to maintain the high character of the Annual in forthcoming editions .
