Turner : a very good player all round ; a bowler who could use his head and alter his pace and pitch ; as a bathecan drive and hit to leg well and has a good defence . A fine field any- where. * H. Eccles : has rather disappointed us, but at times batted well . A very good field at cover point . L. A. Orford : improved wonderfully into a really goodbat,hitting freely and well all round. Takes wicket well at times . Captain next year. * P. S. Wilkinson : a very steady bat with good defence . A verygood field . * C. J. Fox : agood bat ; hits well , but is rather inclined to pull o nthe on-side . J. H. Roberts : a good hitter all round. A straight bat, and a very good field anywhere. B. Dimmock : a good left hand bowler. Canbat if he likes . * G. Martineau : a very steady bat and slow round hand bowler. Has beenof great use. F. Pinney : an improving bat. W eexpect to hear of him another season . Avery fair field . * E. Draper : a straight steady bat and use- ful bowler. A safe field . * G.
