Fox: a steady and painstaking bat with strong defence ,but should hit more freely ; rather slow in the field ,but rarely lets a ball by him . G. R. Garnett : very useful change bowler , right hand medium, often getting valuable wickets ; steady but slow run-getting bat ; quick field at cover-point . F. G. Padwick : a very hard-hitting bat without muchdefence ; first -rate field , covering an immenseamount of ground. G. V. Harding : good change bowler,but apt to get rather short ; in fielding has greatly improved since the beginning of the season ; poor bat. F. W. D.
