Carroll a fair wicket-keeper and bowler ; a good batsmanand a sure field ; batting average , 7·27 . J. O'Hara : a very patient and effective cricketer , and a finished batsman. C. Bowtell : a fair left -hand bowler- very fast ; season average , 4:12 . W. Felton : a careful bat, not a taking style , but scores well ; good field . J. Buchanan : as a batsman , has good but by no meansfinished defence , hits hard ; is a good field and a fair change bowler. F. M. Clark : a fair left -hand batsman; fields well and bowls medium; leg breaks . I. Carroll : a batsman with fair defence ; a mediumbowler; not a sure field . H. Shying : a steady bat ; not a good field ; but a fair change bowler . Geo . Outton : not a brilliant bat , but a good run getter ; fields fairly . H.
