H. S. Adams: a pretty bat, though unsuccessful this season; his bowl-. ingwasinvaluable to the eleven. *C. F. T. Murray: hits hard and clean , punishing loose bowling most effectively ; fair change bowler, and excellent field anywhere. *A. J. Webb: good bat, with great hitting powers, should intimemakea first -class cricketer ; is a fair slow bowler and improving field . E. C. Caldecott : the best bat in the eleven , with good style and defence; good change bowler and field , especially at short -slip . F. L. Sanders : bats fairly , but requires professional coaching ; is a straight fast bowler, at times very destructive ; good field . A. W. Stewart : wants more confidence in batting ; good wicket -keeper , but should practice more. E.R. Shakespear : improving bat, but wants more freedom ; good field . *A . W. Kincaid: a most useful bat, with very steady defence ; fair field . E. О. Kingdon: a promising bat, will improve as he grows ; fields fairly well . G. H .Hewett: fair bat, but requires coaching ; should field well with practice .
