Ward(818) : uncertain bat ; runs badly between the wickets ; fields very fairly , and throws in well . C. de Murrieta (8.7 ) : has improved in every respect this year , and on several occasions has fielded brilliantly . T. М. Eyston (8.5) : promising bat ; has not been successful for want of confidence ; clean hitter ; has been a very successful bowler all through the season , being very straight with a good pitch ; excellent field and sure catch . F. de Murrieta (8.2 ) : is in every way a useful player ; has muchimproved this year , especially in batting ; bowls well , and on several occasions proved irresist- ible . L. Renault (7.14 ) : will be a good and steady bat whenhe stands up to his wicket more ; slow in the field . F. Fotheringham (6.18 ) : a useful , steady , persevering bat ; cuts well ; wanting in style and fielding . O.
