V i c e - The old club , which had been in abeyance for several years , was resusci- tated during the spring of 1880 with the assistance of the college authorities and friends and the exertions of a few of the cricketing students . Anumber of matches, as detailed above, were played , and though at starting evident signs of the newformation of the club were observant , by the close of the season the eleven were a practical corroboration of the adage, " Practice makesperfect ," andthough results attained are not so favourable as they might be, the progress made augurs well for season 1882 .
