Higgins (Capt .) : by example workedhard to bring his eleven forward; bats vigorously , drives hard, and is a good medium-pace round-arm bowler. H. Wetton : can bowl round- arm, fast or under-hand lobs ; good wrist player , but apt to be a little careless at practice . C. W. Crowdy: excellent long -stop ; has a neat style of batting . W. C. Dale : bats in good form whenonce set ; can bowl slow round-arm (left hand) ; improved in fielding . T. W. Bain : keeps wicket fairly ; useful bat ; quick between wickets . G. E. M. Eden : vigorous hitter , but rather fond of a pull some days ; a difficult fast round -arm bowler. E. Harington: fast round-armbowler with high delivery ; toler- able bat. T. W. Kimber: slow round-arm bowler with a good breakback ; will, nodoubt, improve in batting. W . A. Burridge: a good long field , sending the ball well to the wickets ; can also keep wicket if required . C. T. Roller ; good long stop ; improving bat.
