B r o w n: too fondof hitting; wouldm a k e a good bat with patience ; a fair bowler and good field ; 5.5 . M. Costello : nervous at first , but whenthere a little while can always be depended on for a score ; bad field ; 15.3 . D. A. Gowan: sometimes plays good cricket : not a brilliant field ; but makesa fine Secretary ; 5.7 . A. G. Lawrie: very steady bat ; first -class field ; andgood change bowler ; 5.2 . W.
