Cox : does not seem anxious to excel ; throws well , and occasionally fields creditably at long -leg ; bats in a style peculiar to himself . J. Gardner : asa batsmanhas not rendered muchassistance to the eleven , but has made ample amendsin fielding ; a large share of hard work has fallen to his lot at long -leg and long -off ; throws well , though rather slow in returning the ball ; has been awarded the bat given for all -round fielding . F. Green: gave promise of becoming a bowler , and was fairly successful in some of
