M a c k: verydifficult as a slow bowler, with a break-back; the best field in the eleven , and has made several long scores . *W. H. P. Stevens : a steady bat ; his defence would be better if he played with more decision ; is very useful at long-stop. *D. F. Boles : makes neat late cuts , and has played several pretty innings ; a medium-pace round-arm bowler. S. V. Pinniger : has a prejudice in favour of leg-hits . M. H. Paine : A fast bowler and hard hitter ; should be good next year. W. Leetham : a promising bat ; has gone in first throughout the season , and generally made a fair stand ; is a safe catch, *E. Crosskey : came late in term, and started well as a batsman. J. M . Hole: lets out at slows, A. P. Kitcat: a good field ; early in the season was successful as round-arm bowler ; has been ' not out ' eight times . *A. Hunt: at long -leg throws 100 yards without difficulty ; a quaint bat .
