P R E F A C . THE Proprietors of this ANNUAL desire to express their grateful appreciation of the steadily increasing support it has received during the nine years of its existence . It will be their earnest endeavour to merit in the future the patronage they have received in the past . In the next edition they hope to introduce several newfeatures of interest , and it will be their aim to make each issue more attractive to the great body of cricketers . They cordially invite the co-operation of Secretaries of Clubs and others to makethe statistical portions of the ANNUAL complete . Anydetails forwarded to the Editor , at 4, Newington Causeway , London, S.E. , will be carefully weighed and duly honoured . A form will be found at the end of the Workto be filled up and returned by Secretaries , and the more particulars of Clubs received , the more valuable will the ANNUAL be as a work of reference.
