Out of eight contests , two were w o nand four lost ; while of the two drawngames, that against Gloucester- shire at Lord's could certainly not be accounted as in their favour . Thelater matches saw the county with a thoroughly representative eleven , but even then it suffered two reverses at the handsof Gloucestershire and Notts respectively .
